I am very honored, flattered and proud to be invited by the Swiss Tourism Board to collaborate on their Chinese Weddings in Switzerland campaign. It was an amazing journey over the past six months and I had so much fun, given the complete freedom to design and create the wedding suite used in their campaign shoot. I ventured out and tried a completely new design direction, very different from my usual style, and I am very happy with the results.
This wedding suite is a perfect representation of West meets East, a modern, contemporary and slightly Western twist to a traditional Chinese art style. The pattern is inspired by ancient Chinese motifs, I combined auspicious, magical creature Phoenix and beautiful, blossoming flowers with contemporary lines and a dusty color palette. In contrast to the vibrant, colourful pattern used in the back of the table menu and laisee envelopes, I chose a more minimal, subtle design for the invitation. The wedding invitations incorporated clean lines and minimal colors to create a more elegant, sophisticated and modern look.
